Baggage Handling System (BHS) Conveyor Emulation

The overhead view shows the behavior of elements of the baggage handling system.

In a conveyor emulation for bags, the emulation represents bags as rectangles, with various orientations and positions on the conveyor, just as in the final implementation.

The system developer can view a number of other interfaces, not shown here, to determine the actual state of the conveyor and the relationship of the conveyor to the PLC. A set of such interfaces represents physical operator interfaces and control panels, which have all the lamps, buttons, e-stops, selector switches, and so on, that occur in the physical implementation.

The emulator supports jamming, whether manual or induced by bad merges or diverts. The emulator also supports circular objects, such as tires.
