A pharmaceutical manufacturer implemented a statistical process control (SPC) system to track all manufactured consumables and achieve 21 CFR part 11 compliance.
Emulogix created an emulator to emulate the control systems which produced the consumables. The emulator communicated with a downstream data collection and consumable tracking PLC. The downstream PLC communicated with the statistical process control system.
Emulogix also configured the conveyor emulator (described in a separate case study on this web site) to emulate the consumables moving on conveyors after production. The emulation permitted the complete testing of data acquisition and assure 100% error-free product tracking prior to implementation at the customer site.
The case study is an example of how more than one emulator may be combined. A standard feature of Emulogix emulators is the capability to communicate with other emulators, or another instance of the same type of emulator, to assure scalability. |
