The emulator tested the behavior of multiple AS/RSs, all running simultaneously in a warehousing environment.
The emulator emulates multiple AS/RS machines simultaneously, communicating with the PLC which controls each AS/RS machine. The emulator orchestrates the parts of the AS/RS machine as if it was onsite, responding to PLC
outputs, and returning meaningful PLC inputs.
The emulator can optionally communicate with the bona fide warehouse management system. At startup, the warehouse management system updates the emulator as to the state of the warehouse, as known to the warehouse management system. The warehouse state indicates which storage locations are occupied and which are empty. This capability permits the emulator to intelligently reflect warehouse status without generating annoying bin status errors.
The emulator supports multiple-deep and multiple-shuttle AS/RS machines.
We combine this emulator with Emulogix AGV and/or conveyor emulation to emulate the complete customer implementation before traveling to site. |
