Parcel Handling

The overhead view shows the behavior of elements of the parcel handling system.

In a conveyor emulation for parcels, the emulation represents parcels as rectangles, with various orientations and positions on the conveyor, just as in the final implementation.

The system developer can view a number of other interfaces, not shown here, to determine the actual state of the material handling equipment and the relationship of the material handling equipment to the PLC.

For example, on shoe sorters, the system developer and tester can see the shoes on the sorter and make adjustments. As another example, the emulator includes a feature to display reservation "windows" used in parcel merges.

The replay capability of the emulator supports the ability to fast-forward or backward to a point in time in a previous test, and analyze failures.
