The Emulogix emulator induced rolls according to configurable parameters, and then moved the rolls on the roll handling equipment, generating roll tracking messages to the RTPMS as if the messages originated in the PLC.
At the termination of roll processing, the RTPMS would issue another message to an AGV control system, which in this case, was another Emulogix emulator. An emulated AGV would retrieve the roll, and deliver it as requested by the RTPMS.
If the roll was delivered to a printing press, yet another emulator would emulate the control system delivery handshaking with the RTPMS.
A complete emulation environment permits complete integrated testing without impacting the production floor, and assures short implementation times. |
